I can help expand your firm’s offering by joining your team as a specialist construction, tech integration and renewables consultant lawyer.

 

I also accept secondments where your client needs a temporary resource but you can't spare your own lawyers, or I can join a project team or SPV to help navigate the project through a contentious period or dispute.

 

When I join your team

​

• You set the rate at which you bill your client for my time and I charge your firm at the rate below.  I have 11 PQE/PAE, and most firms I consult to bill me out at the level of Special Counsel.

• ​​You only pay me for client-billable work actually performed.  I am not an employee, and when you say to stop work, you incur no further cost.

• I can use my own equipment or you provide a laptop and IT onboarding.  Then you just send me your instructions and I will perform the work for you.

• ​​Renew Legal Pty Ltd is an incorporated legal practice, so I am just like any other contractor or supplier of goods or services to your firm.

•  I perform all my work to the standard expected of a senior fee earner at a top tier firm.

• ​​I have extensive experience working on friendly and contentious construction matters in Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mozambique, New Zealand, Philippines, and Vietnam.

 

Time recording

I use your time recording software and follow your processes:

​

• the firm provides me with a user profile in the time recording software.

• ​​the partner sends me their instructions and timeframe for completion.

• I complete the work and record my time for doing so directly into the firm's time recording software.

• the firm bills the client for my time at whatever rate the firm considers appropriate.

• at the end of each month, or when the work is complete (as appropriate), I invoice the firm for my time.

My hourly rate for law firms for FY24/25 is $350.
